We now get improvements in light output to 2000 lumens, better black levels, reduced operating noise and greater lifespan (no bulbs to replace). The second model is the VPL-XW7000ES which adds more brightness (3200 lumens), better optics, increased zoom and lens shift flexibilities and motorised lens memory. The VPL-XW7000ES retails for $25,499.
